Meet Tom and Ola Butryn, the proud Owner’s of Flatout Flooring. Tom founded Flatout Flooring in 2004 after learning the art of hardwood flooring installation from his father. With a corner in his father’s shed, one set of tools and a four-door sedan, he built the business with an incredibly strong work ethic, passion for the craft and a dedication to offering exceptional service to each and every one of his clients. Ola joined Tom at Flatout in 2015 as the General Manager, bringing a wealth of business experience to the table. Over the years, this family business has continued to grow and flourish as a leader in the flooring industry. In 2020, Flatout Flooring rebranded and expanded into their new 14 500 sq ft showroom, office and warehouse to provide an elevated experience for both their residential and commercial clients.

In the past six years I have had the opportunity to renovate my home and build a new office. Our Old North home was built in 1895 so it has always been important to us to stay true to its character and charm—high ceilings, deep baseboards, and original wooden floors in the bedrooms. Running throughout our main floor, however, the original wide plank flooring was neither practical nor flattering to our comfortable living style. Flatout Flooring was flat out wonderful!
